Youth for Peace

The City of Lynwood is hosting a Human Relations Consortium Cluster 4 event on May 3, 2007 from 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. The activity will be held at Bateman Hall, 11331 Earnestine Avenue, in Lynwood. The event will focus on the principles of non-violence, teaching youth how to use art and spoken word to promote peace through non-violence. The Gardena High School members of the school's zerohour initiative will be involved in the project. Cities that are part of Cluster 4 participating in the event include the cities of Compton and Hawaiian Gardens. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is also participating. The youth will be provided with a free lunch.
